Kahra is an extremely enigmatic singer, songwriter, & performing artist who has a gift for singing and writing music. Kahra is quietly, yet persistently crafting her way into the talent scene. Kahra has sang backup on a track by Bob Marley's Mom (Mother B), was on an MTV reality show, danced on the field for Superbowl XLI & XLIV Halftime Shows, featured model on a downtown Miami billboard, written songs for indie films & other artists, performs with live bands or solo, & has recorded countless songs underground without the help from a major label or outside financial support.
Kahra has written over 250 songs & recorded over half to attain a catalog of strong material that is still widely undiscovered. However, DJ’s have enjoyed playing Kahra’s 2007 albums on radio, Internet radio, at clubs, hotels, & lounges. Kahra has been interviewed by Kelly Dunn from SongwriterPro.com & interviewed by Luis Villamizar of No Biz Talk Magazine and featured artist of the Dynamite Group.
Kahra collaborates with successful producers & songwriters and in 2009 released “Time of Transition” Pop/Rock". One collaborator produces with the Marley Family, another at the Hit Factory, another remixes for Nadia Ali of iiO, another worked on Bob Marley’s Exodus album, and another was nominated for a Latin Grammy. In 2005 she recorded an album in Syracuse, Italy with a producer who moved there. Kahra has 3 albums for sale online: one album is roots reggae, one is electronic pop lounge, and the last is rock/electronic. This year Kahra is releasing the album titled, "XOXO" Pop/Dance On Valentine's Day 2010.
Kahra grew up in the environs of Chicago, IL- Madison, WI-& Iowa City, IA in the midwest part of the United States. She started singing at the age of 4 as a choir alto. Her vocal study during this time included Opera, Gospel, Broadway, etc. Since moving to South Florida, she has been studying speech level singing with Mary Walkley, who works with Katherine McFee from American Idol & Kris Bentley from Inner Circle among others.
